IJMB Direct Entry and 200 Level Admission

How the IJMB Direct Entry pathway works

  1. Choose IJMB subjects that relate to the degree course you intend to study.
  2. Complete the programme and obtain an IJMB result.
  3. Check the current Direct Entry requirements for the intended university and course.
  4. Complete the applicable JAMB Direct Entry process for the current admission cycle.
  5. Submit any result verification, transcript, screening or institution-specific documents requested.

Does IJMB guarantee 200 Level admission?

No. IJMB can make a candidate eligible to apply through Direct Entry where it is accepted, but the university makes the admission decision. Course capacity, subject combination, grades, O’Level results, current policy, screening and other conditions may affect the outcome.

Do IJMB candidates still need JAMB Direct Entry registration?

Candidates should follow the JAMB Direct Entry requirements that apply to the current admission year. The process and dates can change, so use the official JAMB e-Facility and the intended university’s admission instructions rather than an old article or remembered deadline.

What should be verified before applying?

  • The university currently accepts IJMB or the relevant A’Level route.
  • The intended course accepts the chosen IJMB subject combination.
  • The required IJMB grade or points and O’Level subjects are met.
  • The current JAMB Direct Entry, result-verification and university screening steps are understood.
  • Any course-specific restriction or additional document has been checked.

How to verify a university and course

Start with the IJMB universities guidance, then use the JAMB IBASS eligibility checker and the university’s current admissions page. Record the source URL and the date checked. If the information is incomplete or conflicts, contact the university before making an admission decision.
