WHAT IS IJMB

IJMB stands for "Interim Joint Matriculation Board." We are an advanced level program in Nigeria that allows students to gain admission into universities in the country without needing to sit for the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Yes, you heard right! Here are 3 key benefits of this program:

    IJMB provides a direct entry pathway for students to gain admission into universities in Nigeria without having to go through the competitive JAMB UTME process.

    The IJMB program is a one-year academic program, which is relatively shorter than a traditional pre-degree program.

REQUIREMENTS

The specific requirements for the IJMB (Interim Joint Matriculation Board) program may vary depending on the institution offering the program. However, here are some general requirements.

  • Educational Qualification: IJMB provides a direct entry to Nigerian universities, bypassing the competitive JAMB UTME process.
  • Subject Combination: Select three A-Level subjects related to your course of study.
  • Application Form: Register with IJMB EDUCATIONAL CONSULT to choose from accredited study centers nationwide, close to your location.

However, note that:

  • No JAMB/PUTME score is needed for admission
  • Candidate awaiting result can also apply
  • Automatic admission without screening

HOW TO APPLY FOR IJMB

The IJMB Board is managed by the Institute of Education at Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria, Nigeria. It also has members from different educational institutions like the Joint Admission Matriculation Board and the Federal University of Technology, Minna.
